Your Inner Desire item is a delicate piece of product, and should be handled with great care to prolong its life and preserve its true form. We have prepared a few tips for maintaining your Inner Desire pieces.
Lingerie and Swimwear can be very delicate so be sure to read all care labels carefully. Taking extra measures when washing your garment can protect the life and look of the garment.
1) Fill a tub or sink with luke warm water and gentle detergent. Mix the water and detergent well. Place items in the water and let them soak for 10 to 15 minutes. Soaking will help to soften the dirt and make it easier to remove. Be sure that hooks from bras and other garments do not catch on the lace of other garments.
2) Take each item one at a time and gently rub the fabric together to remove the dirt. Be sure to do this one item at a time so the other fabrics do not rub together.
3) Remove the dirty water and wash each item in cool water. Rinse until the water runs clear. Be sure to rinse well or your garment will feel stiff. Gently squeeze any foam-padded areas a few times to fully remove the detergent residue.
4) Lay garments flat on a layer of towels, then lay another layer of towels on top and press out any excess water. After all water has been removed, lay flat or hang over a drying rack to dry. Do not dry in the sun as sunlight could fade coloured fabrics.
Tips & Warnings:
Do not machine wash your bras, even if the bras are placed in a lingerie bag, as the violent agitation during washing can place extra stress on bras causing the underwire to become exposed and this can cause discomfort to the user. The cups of padded and pre-molded bras will also be damaged in the washing machine.
Handwashing one garment at a time is easier to do. It can get difficult when you wash more than one garment together.
